Uncategorized Oct 24, 2013

Florida probate litigator John Pankauski speaks today in Philadelphia for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute from noon to 4:15.   John will address probate lawyers and estate planning lawyers, and those who write wills and trusts at a continuing legal education course titled: “What Every Estate Planning Attorney Needs to Know About Florida Law.”  John is a West Palm Beach, Florida probate lawyer whose practice is limited to litigation and administration of wills, trusts and estates.  He will address some recent developments in Florida law along with a number of specific Florida legal issues including homestead, probate administration, reading and interpreting wills, having a Florida will declared invalid or void, Florida trust administration, probate and the role of the Florida probate lawyer and the rights of Florida beneficiaries.  Many Pennsylvania probate lawyers have clients with a Florida house or Florida real estate.  Some have clients who have second houses in Palm Beach County, Florida and Broward County, Florida.  There are a number of Philadelphia residents who own estates in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida,  and Jupiter, Florida.  John is also expected to discuss recent Florida estate and trust cases, including a case where a trustee took a secret $1,000,000 fee without informing beneficiaries and who also failed to account or file accountings.   There was also an important recent case on what you have to do in Florida to oppose a will and a revocable trust of a deceased Florida resident.
