post about Musician David Zablidowsky Dies in Florida RV Crash

On Saturday, July 15, 2017, The Palm Beach Post reported that David Zablidowsky had passed away. His band’s RV had a flat tire. They pulled off the highway and a tractor trailer crashed into the them. The New York based band had been traveling to a concert in St. Petersburg, Florida. Zablidowsky was a bassist who had also performed with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Z02. Furthermore, he had toured with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. At only 38 years old, did Zablidowsky have a Florida will?

When someone, especially a successful musician or actor, passes away in Florida, it is hard for Palm Beach probate litigators not to wonder whether he or she had an estate plan. Before Zablidowky unexpectedly died at such a young age, did he meet with an estate planning attorney to create a valid Florida will? Did he have a Florida trust? West Palm Beach estate planning lawyers and probate litigators encourage clients to create some sort of estate plan. A solid estate plan can prove to be very beneficial, even while you are still alive. For example, if you become incapacitated, a good estate planning attorney may be able to help you avoid a Florida guardianship. This could protect your wealth that you are no longer able to manage. Probate lawyers know that it is not very expensive to create a Florida will, revocable trust or living trust, and they can be completed quickly.  Why should I bother to have an estate plan? If you don’t have a will or trust, your Florida estate will pass by a state law that controls who inherits property when someone dies without a will. In most states, this is called intestacy law or dying intestate. Florida litigators know that, when you die intestate in Florida, heirs inherit.
