On September 17, 2018 , the SunSentinel reported about an elderly man who was taken advantage of by a financial adviser at a local bank. Here, the elderly man, who was robbed by the financial adviser, suffered from Alzheimer’s. Alzheimer’s and dementia, unfortunately,  make people an even more attractive target to financial exploiters.  The financial adviser became the elderly man and his wife’s power of attorney and sole beneficiary.
