Boca Raton Will Contest Trial Postponed —- for now

A 2 day will contest trial set for May 19 and 20th in the Delray Beach Probate Court has been postponed.  Heirs were attacking a will of a wealthy woman from Boca Raton who left all her money to charity.  I pushed the will challenge case to trial, and survived three attempts by other probate lawyers in Delray Beach Probate Court to delay…..until the last one.

Can You Delay a Trial on a Will Contest?

• A lot of Palm Beach probate lawyers may trial to stall…. to delay a will challenge case
• You can set the will challenge for trial if the case is “at issue”
• That’s what I did in this Boca Raton estate
• Other probate lawyers, from Palm Beach Gardens and Miami, tried to postpone, to delay, to get away from trying the case — not us
• I fought them off until a later dated will was found

• The other probate lawyers were successful in delaying the trial….. for now
• I intend to have the matter re-set for trial
• The heirs alledged that the wealthy woman from Boca Raton did not have a valid Florida will based upon insane delusion and lack of testamentary capacity
• A probate court judge in Palm Beach County may postpone a trial in his or her absolute discretion, or if the interests of justice are served
