The Pankauski Law Firm PLLC, a West Palm Beach estate litigation firm, successfully resolved an inheritance lawsuit set for trial in June in the downtown West Palm Beach courthouse. This Palm Beach estate lawsuit included a St. Lucie County probate, a private Florida business, a corporate buy-sell agreement, Florida stock certificates and a Boca Raton personal representative.
- The West Palm Beach probate firm, which limits its practice to probate litigation and litigation of Florida estates & trusts, sued an insurance company and two defendants over a buy-sell agreement and life insurance proceeds.
- The Palm Beach lawsuit involved issues of a Florida privately held business, and stock certificates. The parties included owners of a St. Lucie county business and a deceased former owner who was a relative .
- The inheritance lawsuit was brought on behalf of the Palm Beach estate litigation firm’s client, which was a Boca Raton personal representative.
- The probate of the late business owner’s estate was in St. Lucie County.
- After extensive financial discovery and related court appearances in the downtown West Palm Beach courthouse, the West Palm Beach probate firm set the Boca Raton insurance lawsuit for trial.
- The Palm Beach trial court granted the Palm Beach estate firm’s request for a trial and set a trial date for late June.
- The firm, on behalf of the St. Lucie County estate, was also successful in having the insurance company deposit 100% of the life insurance funds, death benefits, into the registry of the court, and having the insurance company exit the Boca Raton life insurance lawsuit.
- The other side immediately asked to mediate with the firm.
- After hours of mediation and negotiation in the estate firm’s West Palm Beach office, the parties ended the inheritance lawsuit with a signed settlement agreement which calls for the distribution of the life insurance funds pending approval of the trial judge.
